“To improve the lives of America’s foster children.”
Empower. Inspire. Encourage. Uplift.
Listen to Mustn’ts, child, listen to the Don’ts.
Listen to the Shouldn’ts, the Impossibles, the Won’ts.
Listen to the Never Haves, then listen close to me.
Anything can happen, child, Anything can be.
There is no doubt that it is immensely important that we treat kids like they are truly valuable while they are in the system. Focusing on their development, growth, self-esteem, enjoyment and childhood memories.
We want to make sure that these kids have the best life they can possibly have while they are in the system, either waiting for a family to choose them or waiting for their own family to get its act together. These are children, and children deserve to be looked out for, regardless of what choices the adults in their lives have made.
We believe an important aspect in the success of any human being, and especially the youth we serve, is self worth. Every program is designed in the interest of building the self worth of every life we touch.
Significance: The belief that I am important to somebody.
Competence: The belief that I am able to solve problems.
Power: The belief that I am in charge of my life.
Virtue: The belief that my life has a purpose.
